Job summary
Dermatology see a variety of patients including children for dermatologic conditions. This role is a developmental post for a enthusiastic and dynamic nurse to learn more about patients who are suffering with a variety of skin conditions such as Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, hidradenitis Suppurativa.
Within this role the qualified nurse will assist in the preparation and undertaking of a variety of investigations such as patch testing and assessments for severity of a condition, alongside the planning and implementation of treatment plans. Patients who receive biologic and systemic treatments require regular monitoring and guidance with regards treatment plans and medication regimes, this will form part of this role to link in with patients, pharmacy and healthcare at home providers.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of care to patients within the Dermatology clinics. As a registered nurse, the post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care during their span of duty. They will work collaboratively within the clinic environment to meet the needs of patients, following the Humber NHS Trust policies and procedures.
They will be responsible for managing their own patient group and workload with the support of the Dermatology Clinical Nurse Specialists.
