Job summary
The Hull Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) is offering an exciting new phlebotomy diagnostic service in the newly built diagnostic facility in Hull City Centre.
As a Band 5 Registered Nurse you will be part of this exciting new service, providing phlebotomy and nursing support to various medical diagnostic tests. You will actively participate in the provision of a high quality, effective and efficient outpatient service and play a pivotal role within the multidisciplinary team delivering a coordinated approach to patients care.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a dedicated, multidisciplinary team are paramount to this role. It is desirable that you will have a good knowledge of the outpatient setting and general medical conditions, as you will be providing advice and support for patients undergoing a variety of specialist tests.
The successful applicant will have a positive, caring attitude and be motivated and committed to the Humber Health Partnership Vision and Values. The new service will provide the opportunity to learn and share new ideas for improving the patient experience and advocate for excellent patient care.

Main duties of the job
The Registered Nurse will be directly responsible for the care of the patient attending the Phlebotomy service at the Hull CDC and assisting in the management of patient flow through the services, providing care and support for adult patients across requiring a range of specialist diagnostic tests.
Actively support patients and their families, communicating clinical information using a variety of methods, to ensure effective understanding
The post holder will work collaboratively within the Hull CDC service with the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective and efficient care to patients.
