The department is based at the Queen's Centre at Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham; a purpose built centre that has a range of facilities.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build good relationships with patients, families and colleagues within the radiotherapy service and wider MDT.
The post holder must have a good knowledge of radiotherapy localisation and treatment delivery and verification and the modalities used for radiotherapy localisation and treatment delivery and verification with an enthusiasm to develop their knowledge base in future developments of radiotherapy.
Newly qualified Therapeutic Radiographers are given a comprehensive induction period to enable you to gain competences throughout the pathway, you will be provided with a mentor and have regular catch ups to ensure we are providing the optimum training package for you.
The post holder will be expected to work with their team to ensure a high quality and safe service in the daily operational delivery in pre-treatment and treatment delivery.
This includes supporting your team and students, the post holder will be encouraged to develop for example attending CPD and participate in departmental projects.
