Job summary
An exciting opportunity to join Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as a Ward Catering Supervisor. The post will cover Castle Hill Hospital (CHH) and Hull royal infirmary HRI ward catering service,
The successful candidates will have planned daily shifts, but these are subject to change, changes would be verbally agreed by line managers during roster planning.
Enhanced pay for weekends
Post 1- 28.5 hrs. over a 2 week rolling roster pattern
Week 1- Monday-0730 - 1330 & 1430- 1830 CHH , Wednesday- 0730 - 1330 & 1430- 1830 CHH, Thursday- 0730 - 1330 HRI, Saturday- 1430- 1830 CHH.
Week 2- Monday-0730 - 1330 & 1430- 1830 CHH , Wednesday- 0730 - 1330 & 1430- 1830 CHH, Thursday- 1330 & 1430- 1830 HRI.
Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.
Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will work at both Castle Hill Hospital and Hull royal infirmary supporting the Patient Meals Services teams.
The successful post holders will be required to work in an environment with varying temperatures including freezers and a physical demand of standing and walking for frequent periods of time during the working day is essential.
The department operates between the hours of 7.30am and 18:30pm 7 days a week and slight variations to working hours will be discussed with the successful candidates at interview.
Please note: This position covers both sites. Flexibility with working hours is essential and shifts will be agreed in advance and are subject to change.

Responsible for the supervision of catering staff employed in the provision of high quality, Patient Meals Catering Services which meet the needs of all patient groups, and fulfils the objectives of the Trust. To promote and maintain best practice in all areas of the Patient Meals Catering Servicesincluding the ordering, production, storage and service of patient meals.
