Job summary
The cardiology department is staffed with energetic, forward-looking cardiologists, and we're looking for someone similar to join our team. The Trust recognises many of the challenges facing the cardiology department and the need for expansion. The device and arrhythmia services have been highlighted as needing additional support and with that in mind, the Trust is embarking on an expansion program.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a commitment to supporting the regional electrophysiology service based at Castle Hill Hospital. Part of this role will include device implantation and candidates proficient in the implantation of complex devices are particularly welcome. The post will attract 10 PA's - with a minimum of one full day in the cath lab as well as 2 weekly clinics.

Qualifications and Training

- MRCP(UK) or equivalent qualification
- Valid ALS certificate
- Clinical training and experience in all aspects of cardiology equivalent to that required for UK CCT.
- Evidence of competence in electrophysiology and arrhythmia management
- Evidence of competence in device implantation
Desirable
- Postgraduate degree: e.g. MD, PhD
- Competence in complex device implantation
Teaching and Audit Research

- Thorough understanding of the principles of medical audit and quality improvement
