Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Human Resources Team based within Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This is an exciting time to join our Trust as we are now working with Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust as part of a newly formed NHS Group - the Humber Health Partnership, which is the 12th largest acute and community provider in the NHS.
This post will specifically focus on supporting the Group's vision to improve the offering around reasonable adjustments for disabled colleagues and provide bespoke, person-centred support to facilitate employees to succeed in their career of choice.
The hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week, how these are worked will be discussed with the successful applicant. The role is based at Castle Hill Hospital but will require travel to other sites within Humber Health Partnership.
Main duties of the job
As part of the Human Resources Team, you will lead on the operational development of the reasonable adjustments employment project, creating a new and exciting offering for the Group, advising and supporting managers, employees and HR colleagues throughout the process. This will involve creating branding campaigns, presenting to managers and employees, negotiating with external agencies and developing an in depth knowledge of Access to Work options and offerings. You will be supported by a Strategic HR Business Partner in creating a unique and truly forward thinking package for the Group.
We are therefore searching for an individual with excellent communication and influencing skills with a proven track record of delivering on key HR issues within a business context, ideally within the field of reasonable adjustments.
To succeed, you will have up-to-date knowledge of employment law and its practical application, have the ability to develop strong working relationships and work to tight deadlines. You will be educated to degree level or hold an intermediate CIPD qualification or have equivalent experience. We are looking for an individual with the passion and advocacy in the field of reasonable adjustments who understands the challenges disabled colleagues face through either lived or professional experience.
