Job summary

The Radiology department at Humber Health Partnership has a vacancy for an enthusiastic, compassionate and caring senior nurse to join the Radiology team. The Radiology departments across the group care for both outpatients and inpatients, providing investigations and procedures for patients with a variety of needs.

The post-holder will provide professional advice, leadership and support to the Radiology Nursing teams and service line colleagues to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of patient care and service delivery.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with previous senior nurse experience who have the ability to work flexibly, organise and prioritise workload and communicate at all levels. Good communication skills and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team are essential. Care and compassion for our patients is essential.

The successful applicant must be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

The Matron will supervise the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care ensuring that nursing, midwifery and corporate standards are implemented, maintained, monitored and improved upon where necessary. This includes assuming overall accountability for the monitoring, review, improvement and provision of evidence and assurance relating to patient care.

The Matron will ensure that nursing, midwifery and relevant support staff are led, managed and developed in order to enable them to deliver the highest standards of patient care and service. It is essential that the post holder works effectively as part of the managerial team to support the care group including flexing between teams and supporting other areas to deliver the service. They must work collaboratively with other Matron's in the Trust, contributing to the development and delivery of Group objectives and assisting in the delivery of the Clinical Governance Agenda.
