Nursing Assistant

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Patient Lounge as a Nursing Assistant. The hours of working are currently 7am to 9.00pm, 7 days per week. The care group has recently undergone a restructure and this has resulted in an uplift in staff and working hours. New shift patterns are 7am to 7pm and 930am to 9pm.

The Patient lounge will be managed under the Site Management team.

The role of the Nursing Assistant in the patient lounge will be to give support to the trained nurse in the care of patients who are transferred to the Lounge pending discharge to their destination, be this their own home or other community resources. An active pull model may require to assist ward areas in collecting patients to relay to the lounge.

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.

Main duties of the job

The patient lounge is staffed with 2 trained nurse and 2 untrained member of staff. The patient lounge is pivotal when ensuring early flow out of wards to allow for safety in our emergency and assessment units.

The post holder will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills and be prepared to communicate with other teams within the hospital and our hospital partners, such as patient transport services.
