Job summary
Our heart failure service provides world-renowned care and a long-running research programme into all aspects of the condition. The service is underpinned by a world-leading academic programme and has the world's largest longitudinal epidemiological database of patients with heart failure with more than 30,000 patient-years of follow up. The service has 2.5 consultant cardiologists and is supported by 3 hospital-based heart failure specialist nurses and the active involvement of the community heart failure team. There are advanced plans to significantly enhance the nurse led heart failure service.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for dynamic and innovative individuals to join our team and help to develop the delivery of high class cardiology provision to the population of East Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire. We have recognised that many of our patients have complex medical needs so we are seeking to recruit individuals who will be able to provide some general internal medicine input for patients admitted onto the cardiology base wards. Applications with expertise / experience in frailty are especially welcomed. Candidates will have general cardiology training and we will provide the opportunity to undertake relevant sub-speciality work whether this be in imaging, electrophysiology, heart failure, devices or intervention.
