Midwifery Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated individuals to join the Midwifery team in the Antenatal Outpatients Department within Hull Women's & Children's Hospital.
We have a dynamic, motivated and forward-thinking Midwifery team and will welcome Midwifery Assistants who will work in our department in Antenatal Day Unit, Maternity Triage, and Antenatal Clinic areas.
Main duties of the job
There are a range of skills within maternity services which enables the Midwifery Assistant to work in partnership with the midwives, and other members of the multidisciplinary teams.
Antenatal Outpatient Midwifery Assistants support the midwifery team providing antenatal care to women with specific obstetric and medical needs on an outpatient basis. Therefore, our hours of work are as follows:
This is a 7 day service, which currently is open until 22:00pm; however, this is undergoing changes and will eventually be a 24 hour service provision.
Daily shift patterns are 8 hours long. There will also be an expectation to work some bank holidays throughout the year.
