Job summary
Post of Clinical Research Fellow at Core/Higher Level Trainee (ST3+) fixed term 12 months.
The post will suit a Core or Higher Level Trainee who wishes to broaden his/her academic skill base and to gain further experience in research.
This post is primarily designed to allow the successful candidate to focus on academic development and work towards an MSc, MD or PhD with up to 25% clinical work if required and fits with applicants educational needs.
Main duties of the job
This appointment is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of clinical research in a highly active research organisation. The Clinical Research Fellow will work in their chosen clinical specialty and design, implement and deliver a research proposal under academic and clinical supervision.
The post-holder will learn the research regulatory pathway, establish themselves within the chosen research team and seek opportunities to generate external research funding awards.

The Trust provides specialist and tertiary services to a population of 1.25 million extending from Scarborough in North Yorkshire to Grimsby and Scunthorpe in North East and North Lincolnshire respectively.
