Band 7 Occupational Health Nurse Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Hull University Teaching Hospitals (HUTH) NHS Trust's Occupational Health Department for a professionally confident, articulate, bright and enthusiastic person for the position of Occupational Health Nurse - Band 6/7 (dependent on experience and qualifications).

The role will incorporate the high quality delivery of a full remit of Occupational Health services including sickness absence case management, health surveillance, health screening and infection control.

You will be working within a SEQOHS accredited Occupational Health Department as part of a multi-disciplinary team, although a high level of independent decision making skills are essential as isolated working can take place when providing a service to external clients.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for supporting the Head of Occupational Health Services in the delivery of a cost effective, quality multi-disciplinary Occupational Health Service.

The post holder will be a qualified Occupational Health Nurse with significant experience in the speciality and capable of providing a high standard of specialist care to employees of the trust and its external clients.

You will be required to manage a designated caseload and provide advice to employees, managers and Human Resource colleagues on absence management and employee well-being at work. The post holder may be required to deputise for the Head and Deputy of the Service on a rotational basis with other senior nurse colleagues during annual leave
