Job summary
We are looking for a physicist with (or soon able to achieve) RPA and MPE certification to join the expanding Radiation Protection & Radiology Physics team within the Medical Physics Service based at Hull University Teaching Hospitals as a Radiation Protection Adviser and Medical Physics Expert.
The team currently comprises of 6 physicists (plus this post), 3 technologists and 3 trainees, and is based at Castle Hill Hospital, on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds. Physics support is given to the acute Trusts in East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire either side of the Humber, as well as other trusts and private providers. We support a wide range of specialisms including radiology, nuclear medicine and radiotherapy.

Main duties of the job
Ideally you will already have RPA and MPE certification. However, for the right candidate, who is close to being able to achieve these, we would appoint at band 7 with progression to the full band 8A role on successful certification.
The job holder must be an HCPC registered clinical scientist.
