Job summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen on Ward 10 for a permenant Junior Sister to join the enthusiastic, motivated, dedicated, and very friendly team of nursing staff.

The Ward is a very busy Diabetes and Endocrinology Ward. Ward 10 is a busy 27 bedded ward with a dedicated and supportive team who are committed to delivering high, quality care that underpins the 6c's. The Junior Sisters role is key to supporting the band 7 Senior Sister and should strive to achieve the highest standards of nursing care.

We require professional, dynamic, forward thinking clinical leaders who have quality of care and patient safety at the forefront of everything they do. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate evidence of outstanding clinical leadership, change management and delivery of high quality patient care.

Main duties of the job

By working clinically as a member of the nursing team you will work in partnership with the Ward manager to provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership for a ward based team of qualified and non-qualified staff. The post holder will be required to co-ordinate the unit, work within the clinical setting, deputise in the absence of the Ward manager and ensure a positive patient experience through the delivery of high standards of patient care

To succeed you must be a registered nurse with 2 years post registration experience at Band 5 level or above, and be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, success in motivating and developing staff and the ability to effect changes in working practices..
