Job summary
The three Partner Trusts have set an objective of creating a single procurement function which will help support the sustainable provision of clinical and non-clinical services. A newly formed Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, will provide procurement and supply chain services to its Partner Trusts, and may extend over time to service other bodies within the Integrated Care System.
You will work as a Procurement and Contract Manager across all Partner Trusts as a credible procurement and commercial lead providing strategic advice and guidance to clinical and corporate colleagues. You will act as a trusted procurement and contract manager encouraging collaboration between Care Groups and Procurement across all Partner Trusts to maximise procurement and commercial outcomes for the patients in our care.
You will, , support the Assistant Procurement Business Partner in managing the procurement service within a Care Group across multiple trusts to identify procurement projects, saving opportunities and manage contract performance within the constraints of the collaborative's strategic plan.
Working independently you will monitor the quality and performance of suppliers to ensure that all trusts are getting the level of service promised, managing any concerns directly with suppliers but will have the ability to escalate any concerns where required.
Main duties of the job
Candidates can select their base , although will be expected to attend all Trust sites to build relationships with our customers, flexible working ispromoted and you will be expected to manage own time in the most efficient way to meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
Supporting the Assistant Procurement Business Partner in collaborating with, and influencing, Partner Trusts to embed cultural and system change through the implementation of the procurement strategy.
Present the procurement collaborative as a progressive, responsive and innovative group who provide new thinking which works collaboratively topositively influence others' perception concerning the value of effective and efficient procurement and supply chain services.
You will manage the performance of 5-9 (depending upon care group) procurement professionals and will actively support them in meeting their own development needs and aspirations.
You will provide professional advice to users on specific contract projects across all three trusts
Supporting Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative in delivering its 10 aims and objectives.
