Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Teacher Trainer for Perioperative Practice within the Surgery Health Group. The post is for 37.5 hours per week and will require cover at both Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital. The Theatre Education Team is looking to appoint a dynamic and innovative Nurse with a passion for education, training and supporting clinical and professional development within practice.
The successful applicant will work within the Theatre Education Team, the current model consists of a band 7 Lead Practice Educator (ODP) and a band 6 (ODP) Teacher Trainer (Perioperative Practice). The post holder will provide specialist clinical teaching to groups, as well as providing one to one support to individuals wishing to enhance their skills.
The post holder will have extensive experience as a Registered Nurse, a willingness to develop your scope of practice and have sound knowledge of the Perioperative environment.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an self-motivated individual who has proven ability to work on their own initiative and is responsible for the provision of clinical teaching within operating theatres/PACU.
The applicant must be able to demonstrate their commitment to developing the service and staff, improving the patient experience, provide evidence of clinical teaching and be enthusiastic in their role of staff support and motivation.
You will be expected to reflect the Trust's vision and values, contributing to the Health Group agendas.
