Clinical Lead Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Full time ( part time may be considered )
Hull University Teaching Hospitals are seeking a Band 7 Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to join our diverse team of allied health professionals. The post holder will work within the paediatric service including inpatient and outpatient settings.
The post holder will work alongside Clinical Lead colleagues to plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate the occupational therapy service provided to patients within the paediatric service. As a Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist, you will have advanced levels of clinical expertise in the assessment and treatment of paediatric conditions (including neurodevelopmental / neurobehavioral assessments , rheumatology, orthopaedic, hands and plastics )
You will deputise, along with other clinical lead therapists , in the absence of a line manager, taking responsibility for the operational clinical leadership and overall professional and organisational development of the Paediatric therapy team. A high regard for clinical operations and governance, assuring high standards of patient centred care maintaining effective, resilient and integrated care to provide a seamless service.
We are seeking people who can adapt to a changing environment and work well in a team. You will be expected to be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team and build social networks working in partnership with other agencies.
Main duties of the job
To undertake the planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating of the paediatric therapy service in partnership with other Clinical Lead Therapists.
The post holder will be able to demonstrate specialised clinical skills, leadership and service development experience as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
Support will be provided to enhance operational management skills and the post holder will contribute to service planning, development and teaching. As a Clinical Lead, the post holder will be a role model for their team and pride themselves on delivering high quality care and motivate their team to do the same.
