Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to work in a busy innovative IQIPs accredited department located in the heart of East Yorkshire.The department covers both rural and city areas serving a population of approximately 600,000 living in the city of Kingston-upon-Hull and surrounding districts of East Yorkshire including the historic town of Beverley.

What are we looking for?

Applications from new graduates and more experienced Audiologists are welcomed as this post offers a great opportunity to consolidate and develop your skills. The successful candidate will have an Audiology BSc or equivalent with a view to registration with the RCCP. A full UK driving license is preferred.

Main duties of the job

What will you be doing?

Duties will include ENT clinic support, performing a full range of diagnostic tests and the provision of digital hearing aidsfitted in accordance with national and local recommended procedures. The work is primarily adult based but there will be opportunities to work with the paediatric population.

Staff & Facilities

The department has a permanent staff of 21.26wte. We are a friendly team comprising of Clerical staff, Audiologists & Clinical Scientists, and a further 8.28wte Hearing Screeners working together as a close knit unit.

You will be based within a modern facility at Castle Hill Hospital located within Cottingham, Nr Hull; with opportunities to work at new health centres within the catchment. All clinical roomshave the benefit of up-to-date test & rehabilitation equipmentas well asdigital hearing aids.

A full range of diagnostic audio-vestibular procedures are offered at Castle Hill Hospital.
