Job summary
We are seeking 1 permanent position of a Sister (7) for the Medicine Health Group supporting 130 East.
This is a fantastic opportunity, the Health Group and Divisions being fast paced, dynamic and in an exciting period of change, aiming to benefit both our patients and staff.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic senior nurse to join a progressive nursing team within the Health Group. Working with your Manager and Therapy senior colleagues as part of the new ways of working in this area is pivotal.
The role is key in advancing and assuring clinical best practice and patient care as well as ensuring that nursing services are patient specific, efficient and effective.
You will be proactive, have excellent leadership and communication skills and an in depth knowledge of the nursing, quality and safety agendas.
You will predominantly work at Hull Royal Infirmary but must have the ability to travel between sites in order to attend meetings and cross cover for your colleagues as required. Dynamic and innovative individuals are sought to complement the existing teams and join the management team in the leadership and direction of a forward thinking, rapidly advancing division.
Main duties of the job

There is a specific requirement for visible, accessible and strong clinical leadership and of being a role model.
For all these posts, you will be keen to develop both yourself and the service for the benefit of patients, be a senior nurse and be expected to reflect the Trust's vision and values, contributing to the Divisional, Health Group and Corporate Trust Agendas.
You will have a willingness to develop your scope of practice and have sound knowledge of nursing, leadership and management. Excellent leadership skills and the ability to work with and manage multidisciplinary teams are essential.

The Trust's secondary care service portfolio is comprehensive, covering the major medical and surgical specialties, routine and specialist diagnostic services and other clinical support services. These services are provided primarily to a catchment population of approximately 600,000 in the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire area.
HUTH provides specialist and tertiary services to a population of 1.25 million extending from Scarborough in North Yorkshire to Grimsby and Scunthorpe in North East and North Lincolnshire respectively.
