Are you a band 5 registered nurse looking for a new challenge?

Ward 7 at Castle Hill Hospital is a purpose built inpatient unit for patients with a wide variety of infectious diseases and we are looking at recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our friendly, established team.

Main duties of the job

As a registered nurse, the post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the highest standard of patient care.

You should be caring, enthusiastic, committed and flexible to delivering a safe and effective service for our patients.

The role will include :-

Actively supporting patients and their families, communicating clinical information using a variety of methods, to ensure effective understanding.to be able to demonstrates empathy and compassion toward patients and their families.

Developing effective relationships with patients to assist them in making decisions about their care.

Be able to effective communication between members of the multi professional team during their span of duty , ensuring information is conveyed to the patient and family in a timely andunderstandable manner

About us

HUTH has two main sites: Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital with an annual budget of approximately £500 million. The Trust employs around 11,000 staff and serves an extended population of 1.25 million, delivering a number of outpatient services from locations across the area.

The Trust's secondary care service portfolio is comprehensive, covering the major medical and surgical specialties, routine and specialist diagnostic services and other clinical support services. These services are provided primarily to a catchment population of approximately 600,000 in the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire area.

HUTH provides specialist and tertiary services to a population of 1.25 million extending from Scarborough in North Yorkshire to Grimsby and Scunthorpe in North East and North Lincolnshire respectively.
