Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team of Nephrologists as a fixed term locum post for 12 months to help with the expansion of our satellite heamodialysis units.
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust provides extensive kidney services for a population of 1.10 million across a large geographical area extending into both North Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
You will be expected to participate in the inpatient ward and outreach rota on a 1:3 basis, and the renal overnight on call and weekend rota on a 1:8 basis.
All consultants have the potential to include additional sessions at an enhanced rate for OOH working increasing core earnings by up to 30%.
Main duties of the job
Your job plan will be focused around supporting the expansion in our haemodialysis patients at our Grimsby and Scunthorpe satellite units. The job plan will also include a weekly New Patient clinic and follow up General Nephrology clinic. You will be part of the consultant team providing inpatient care on our kidney ward, which also looks after general medical patients, and our outreach team inputting to kidney patients under other specialties, patients with AKI in the trust and some general medical outliers.
