An exciting opportunity has arisen on Ward 100
The successful candidate will be leading a 27 bedded Gastroenterology ward on the Hull royal infirmary site.
The post holder would be responsible for ensuring the effective management of Ward 100 over the 24-hour period. You will provide clinical and managerial leadership to the nursing team.
Supervise the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care ensuring that nursing and corporate standards are maintained and measured. You will be responsible for the deployment and supervision of staff where there is a requirement to meet the needs of the organisation.
Main duties of the job
* Co ordinating the flow of admissions and discharges
* Liaising with members of the MDT
* Ensuring the ward is appropriately staffed, raising any staffing issues and concerns
* Managing staff -including concerns, supporting staff in line with the supporting and managing attendance policy, appraisals and goal setting
* Supporting the nursing team in delivery of care and the maintaining of fundamental auditing/ maintaining quality and safety
Responding to incidents in line with local policy
