Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to provide administrative co-ordinator to the SEDS based in Brighton. SEDS is an expanding team delivering care and support to adults in the community with eating disorders across Sussex.

As Admin Co-ordinator, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team and will act as the first point of contact for service users and staff. They will be primarily responsible for co-ordinating and overseeing the Waiting List Management system within SEDS, which is a core function of the service. They must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills when dealing with vulnerable individuals.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide general administration for the team when required. The main duties of this post will be providing operational support to the management of our assessment and treatment waiting lists, by overseeing the assessment bookings and administrative tasks that go alongside this, updating the treatment waiting list, data collection and intelligence, agenda preparation and minuting of weekly waiting list and allocation meetings.

The successful candidate will also need to work closely with the admin team leader who will oversee their workload and the wider staff team. The role will require proven organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. The post holder will be working as part of a team but also expected to work independently to manage and prioritise own workload. Excellent communication, administration and IT skills are essential for this role, along with high levels of motivation, enthusiasm and a 'can do' attitude.

  • RSA 3 or equivalent experience and evidence of further practical experience
  • Good standard of secondary education; GCSE at Grade C or above

Knowledge/Experience

  • Significant experience of working as an administrator or secretary
  • Experience of office and resource management
  • Experience of supervising others
