Exciting Opportunity for an enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist

Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of adults facing mental health challenges? Oaklands Ward at Oaklands Centre for Acute Care in Chichester is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist with experience of working with people with mental health difficulties and experience of working in Mental Health Services to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. The role is full time 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

Conduct Occupational Assessments and Interventions, emphasizing relapse prevention, establishing routines, and promoting recovery.
Provide Clinical Supervision to O.T Support Staff and Activity Worker Support Staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Play a pivotal role in Discharge Planning by conducting Assessments, coordinating Interventions and ensuring a smooth transition for Patients back into the community.

Group work is an important aspect of the Therapeutic Programme on Oaklands Ward and you would have the opportunity to be part of the development and coordination of this.
