You will join a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team inArun district.

We are looking for someone with excellent clinical skills, able to engage positively with colleagues, service users, and the wider community. You will be able to think creatively with partnership organisations, modelling our strong commitment to trauma-informed approaches, co-production, and inclusion.

Main duties of the job

As a psychological professional, you will offer assessment, formulation, and evidence-based interventions for people with a range of mental health difficulties. Experience of working with psychosis is desirable.As the post sits within community services, you will offer supervision and training to both psychological professionals and multidisciplinary colleagues. You will build close working relationships with our local community of psychological professionals working into other teams. As a professional group, we have a rich and diverse range of skills and experience, and pride ourselves on being a helpful and supportive group. Your career progression is important to us, and we will provide local opportunities to develop leadership and supervision skills.

We have strong links with our Research and Development Department and there are multiple opportunities to work alongside R&D colleagues to embed good practice and evaluate our work. For example the new SuPER clinic led by Prof Kathy Greenwood and Compassionate Resilience Group trials for cPTSD led by Prof Nick Grey and Deborah Lee.

Desirable

  • Substantial experience of specialist psychological therapy (assessment, formulation and treatment), as specified in the same Appendix, maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the threat of physical abuse
  • A high level of competence in applying a psychological therapy to complex difficulties appropriate for this therapy with the client group, and a proven track record of delivering positive outcomes in this therapy
  • Experience of offering teaching, training and supervision within a demanding organisational context.
  • A clear and theoretically informed approach to supervision
