Job summary
We are seeking a qualified Nursing Associate to join our Neighbourhood Mental Health Team in Littlehampton, delivering care to people who access secondary mental health services in Littlehampton and Arun.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Arun Neighbourhood Mental Health Team (Littlehampton site), we are seeking to recruit a Registered Nursing Associate to join our team to support our Clozapine and Depot Clinic's as well as offering physical health checks to patients with a Serious Mental Illness.
We ensure every patient has an individual care plan, receives regular support including medical reviews and physical health monitoring. You will have an opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and work closely with our Nurses, Psychiatrists, Community Pharmacist Community. We need someone who can work independently with appropriate supervision and is interested in working in a community setting with patients with complex mental health needs.
On starting in this position if you have not completed your preceptorship, it is envisaged that you will join the Preceptorship Academy programme which includes study days, support and development opportunities. There will also be openings to develop your career which may include a pathway to become a registered nurse. This will be dependent on the trust supporting the development of this training pathway.
The ability to travel across sites and to undertake community visits will be essential to this role.
