Job summary
We are seeking to recruit a Facilities Assistant to join our team at Woodlands, St Leonards-on-Sea. The successful candidate will be working on in-patient wards. Full training will be provided.
The role is part-time working Thursday & Friday mornings each week between 07:00 and 14:30, 15 hours per week .

Applicants must have good communication and interpersonal skills, be able to undertake varied manual tasks, and have experience of working within the Cleaning Industry, the Catering Industry and with the public.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can work equally well on their own or as part of a team, to deliver and achieve high standards of environmental cleaning and prepare meals for service.
We are looking for people who recognise the importance of a clean environment and food safety as well as the important of adherence to infection prevention and control standards at all times.

Duties include, but are not limited to: - vacuum cleaning, damp mopping of floors, damp dusting of furniture/fittings, cleaning of mirrors and internal glass, sanitary ware, e.g. baths, showers, sinks, toilets, washing of tiled surfaces and paintwork, high dusting of walls and ceilings etc.. In addition the role requires some food handling to support the provision of a meal service for patients in our care.
