Job summary
Led by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and in partnership with YMCA Downslink, Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust and Southdown, Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service provides a community-based range of evidence based therapeutic and clinical interventions to support children, young people and adults with mild to moderate mental health needs. Our service is based in the community and located primarily within SPFT venues and GP Practices. We receive referrals from a number of routes including self-referrals and by General Practitioners, working closely with community and secondary care Mental Health services.
We are recruiting A Psychological Wellbeing PractitionerTeam Leadto join our expanding IAPT service.
As a Talking Therapies (TT) we offer a full range of TT compliant therapies and job roles. As a service we support people presenting with mild to moderate anxiety disorders and depression.
Main duties of the job
The PWP role involves offering CBT informed guided self-help, working with clients via the telephone, using online platforms (including silvercloud) and delivering psychoeducational courses.
Requirements
In order for you to apply for this role You will need a postgraduate certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Therapies, experience delivering PWP interventions within an IAPT service, excellent team skills and proven ability to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients.

Job responsibilities
The post holder is responsible for leading and coordinating the locality Step 2 Team. The post-holder will:
Hold a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) qualification
Ensure effective delivery of the Step 2 interventions (guided self-help) within the service. This will include the development and provision of the Step 2 workshops.
Ensure all Step 2 interventions are in line with best practice
Provide line management supervision to the Senior PWPs
Provide supervision of supervision to the Senior PWPs
Ensure adequate oversight of the outcomes of PWPs in the service, and support the Senior PWPs to help develop individuals clinical skills as required
Provide case management and clinical skills supervision
Manage a small caseload, providing Step 2 interventions via guided self-help face to face, by telephone, online and in workshops to people with common mental health problems including clients with some complexity.
To ensure recommendations from Serious Untoward Incidents (SUIs), near misses, complaints and other incidents are implemented across the Step 2 team.
Ensure feedback loops with the organisation through team meetings and other communication routes.
To participate in working groups or service development forums to develop policies, protocols or guidelines relevant to the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing service.
Ensure quantitative and qualitative Step 2 team vital signs (KPIs) measures are , monitored and reviewed with the team, ensuring staff involvement.
