We're looking for a part-time Team Secretary to join the CAMHS team at the Aldrington Centre, Hove.
The successful candidate will be providing excellent administration and secretarial support to our team of mental health professionals. You will be enthusiastic, flexible and creative in your approach with a background in secretarial or administrative support. The ability to foster positive working relationships and being a strong team player is essential.
Main duties of the job
The role will provide excellent secretarial support to the team, including but not limited to:
- Handling all aspects of correspondence, including typing and formatting clinical notes
- Responding to telephone enquiries
- Managing the diaries of the team and prioritising competing needs
- Data input
- Processing of new referrals
- Liaising with service users and families to arrange appointments
- Reception support
Good communication skills are essential together with the ability to deal sensitively with people who may be distressed at times.

- A relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification / RSA 3 or equivalent
- Experience in a secretarial role or relevant administration experience
- Experience of producing documents to a high standard of presentation with good accuracy
- Experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience of working within a physical or mental health care setting
It would also be advantageous if you are:
- Familiar with the use of Carenotes
- This position is for 18.75 hours per week and is a busy role with a varied workload. Therefore, we are seeking an individual who is able to find a balance between team working and utilising initiative.
