Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our B5 mixed OT rotation in the Chichester/Bognor area. These posts are open to new graduates, those due to qualify soon, Occupational Therapists wishing to return to practice and more experienced Occupational Therapists who want to broaden their clinical skills in a variety of specialities. We are looking for highly motivated applicants with excellent communication skills and a drive for clinical excellence. The rotation facilitates the development of skills and competencies beyond graduate level in a variety of clinical specialties, both physical and mental health. These include:

Chichester Community Therapy Team

Don Baines Intermediate Care Unit, Bognor Regis

Working Age Mental Health Services-Enhanced Community Rehabilitation Service

Recovery Rehab Unit- Connolly House, Chichester

Each rotation lasts six months. The rotational scheme works in partnership with Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

To plan and provide a range of occupational assessments and treatments that will promote recovery and wellbeing for the people that the post holder works with. To support the promotion of Occupational Therapy within the clinical area. Working as part of a MDT team. Liaising with other partners and organisations.

You will be part of an established MDT preceptorship programme, have a personalised development plan, detailed clinical competencies, regular supervision and a diverse range of AHP and Occupational Therapy specific training and CPD opportunities to develop your occupational therapy knowledge and skills. Our rotations offer great peer support with regular CPD/Peer support events. We understand the transition from student to practitioner and are well set up to support you in your new occupational therapy career.
