Job summary
We are seeking to recruit a Facilities Assistant (cleaner) to join our team at Department of Psychiatry, Kings Drive, Eastbourne, BN21 2UD.

Applicants must have good communication and interpersonal skills, be able to undertake varied manual tasks, and have experience of working within the Cleaning Industry or the Catering Industry and with the general public.
We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can work equally well on their own or as part of a team, to deliver and achieve high standards ofenvironmental cleaning and prepare meals for service. We need people who recognise the importance of a clean environment and food safety requirements as well as the important of adherence to infection prevention and control standards at all times.
The hours are Wednesday to Sunday mornings between 06:30 and 14:00 each day, a total of 37.5 hours per week.
It is planned to relocate services currently being delivered from Department of Psychiatry in Eastbourne to a new, purpose built, Hospital in Bexhill. Planned completion is in 2025, when the existing team will be relocating to the new Hospital.
Main duties of the job
Deliver a full cleaning service at the prescribed times, in line with established policies and procedures and as detailed in the cleaning work schedules.
Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
Successful candidate will be committed to providing consistently high standards of cleanliness and will be hard working, dedicated and an effective team worker.
