If so,a role with The Community Mental Health Liaison Service (CMHL) might be what you're looking for.
We are welcoming applications for a full time Band 6 CMHL Mental Health Practitioner or a Band 6 Senior Children's Well-Being Practitioner to join our team and support professionals, families and young people who present with mild to moderate mental health difficulties in West Sussex. This provision will cover several areas, including Bognor, Chichester and Littlehampton.
The CMHL Service key functions:
1) To provide an early intervention and prevention service for professionals who are working with children and young people who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties
2) To support professionals to develop their skills in managing the emotional well-being of children and young people
3) To offer some direct work using an evidence based approach to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health concerns.
4) To be part of the broader West Sussex stepped care approach through group and individual interventions.
As the service covers all of West Sussex you will be required to travel across the county.
Main duties of the job
The Community Mental Health Liaison team comprises of a range of professionals including Mental Health Practitioners, Mental Health Nurses, Mental Health Social Workers and Occupational Therapists.
The service works with professionals and parents/carers offering consultation, psycho-education and some direct work to young people. There are opportunities in the service to undertake direct work with children, young people and their families through brief evidence-based therapeutic interventions. The service will be adopting a stepped care approach which will also offer group interventions linking in with the wider West Sussex services and pathways.
