If this sounds like you, Hampshire CAMHS have created a new Specialist Doctor role. This role will be based within our PPLT (Paediatric Psychiatric Liaison Team) and i2i Urgent Assessment and Home Treatment Team. You will work with an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist and will provide support, consultation and co working with our 2 teams.
The candidate who is successful in this role will have excellent communications skills, ability to navigate complex systems, they will be a team player and will be able to work alongside other Dr'sand MDT clinicians within the acute services. The successful candidate will need to be able to drive to different areas within the county as per need although will be based in the Winchester area.
You will be joining a friendly, supportive and creative team of nurses and mental health practitioners , dedicated to developing and providing a high-quality service, which complements the work done by our wider CAMHS colleagues and in liaison/partnership with other key young people's services.
Successful candidates will contribute and/or lead the development of care pathways and seamless services ensuring children's needs are recognised and responded to in a timely manner.
Main duties of the job
As a multi disciplinary team member for PPL and i2i Urgent and Home Treatment team, you will provide specialist expertise to understand and support the complex mental health and behavioural needs of children and young people.
You will work as an active member of a team, contributing expertise within your specialist area to develop the service and also providing clinical skills for assessment and interventions.
Due to the complexity of the cases and work you will be doing, your caseload will be small but dynamic, you will co-work cases alongside the lead practitioner. As a specialist Dr there is the opportunity to develop all aspects of leadership and you will be expected to offer clinical supervision and/or line management to other staff within the team.

The TUPE transfer from Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust effective from 1st February 2024.
