As a Trust we cover a wide geographical area of the southeast of England that includes Hastings, Eastbourne, Brighton and Hove, Worthing, Bognor and Chichester, and inland towns such as Crawley and Horsham with superb links to London. We also have smaller rural hubs throughout Sussex, providing a wide and interesting range of locations and opportunities.

Main duties of the job

We welcome applications from nurses who hold a Mental Health degree certification or registered nurses who have experience in Mental Health nursing and have been working in a mental health setting.

You will initially join as a Senior Healthcare Support Worker whilst undertaking OSCE training to enable you to successfully complete your OSCE exam to gain full NMC registration. You will be provided with the necessary support from a dedicated education and pastoral care team to prepare you for the programme ahead.

Our support offer includes

  • 3 months Trust accommodation
  • Full OSCE training programme
  • Transport & accommodation to the relevant OSCE centre
  • One funded attempt to pass your OSCE (subsequent attempts would be funded by yourself)
  • Full professional and pastoral support throughout your application process, OSCE and induction into the NHS
  • Fully paid VISA and flights to the UK (plus other reimbursements)
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities supported by our Continued Professional Development programme

Upon successful completion of your OSCE and registration with the NMC you will then join the Mental Health Nurse workforce.
