Job summary

Ever wanted to gain experience in CAMHS services? We are looking for Band 6 Nurses to join our compassionate and friendly in-patient team within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).

Chalkhill is looking for a charge nurse to join its motivated and dynamic team. We want you to be a part of our upcoming projects to help continue to strive for more success.

We have an experienced team and work collaboratively with eating disorder services, paediatric wards and our school which we have on-sight, so our young people have access to educational services.

To protect the health and safety of our staff/workers, patients, and those attending our sites, we encourage our workforce to get fully vaccinated against COVID

Main duties of the job

If you have not previously worked in CAMHS, don't worry! Many of your skills from other acute settings will be transferable and we will provide training to meet any learning needs identified in your appraisal.

You will be closely supported by our Duty Senior Nurse, Matron, Charge Nurses, to lead the nursing team in maintaining high standards of care, providing evidence based practice, and implementing practice development initiatives.

We understand that looking after our staff's health and well-being leads to safer services and better experiences for our young people, and so actively promote supervision, reflection, training opportunities and team away days.

In your application we would love to know what attributes you would bring to our team and we love to hear about what drives the nurses of today. We are committed to investing in our staff in order to provide you with further training and development to enhance those leadership skills.
