Job summary
Horsham Assessment and Treatment Service are looking for an experienced mental health practitioner with a passion for working in the assessment and treatment services and working with people with complex mental health needs. As an experienced practitioner in the mental health field, providing professional supervision and leadership to our friendly, committed and compassionate ATS team.
This is an exciting time to be working in the community. Over the next few years, the community transformation plan will see new ways of working with our primary care and third sector colleagues. We have also recently received new funding for our Personality Disorder Pathway in West Sussex which will see significant improvements made to the services that we can provide to this group of people. You could have the opportunity to play a key role in these important developments.
Main duties of the job
The Horsham Assessment and Treatment Service is a lively community mental health team supporting people living with severe and enduring mental health problems. You will support and supervise those clinicians within the team to safely manage a caseload of people who are cared for within a recovery focused model of care designed to enable and encourage service users to develop positive coping strategies to maximise their independence and potential. You will work in partnership with a diverse team of clinicians and support staff including psychologists, mental health nurses, social workers, psychiatrists, support workers and our third sector partners.
You will oversee the day to day management in the ATS and take an interest in team performance.
Your presence and availability for the team is important and maintaining capacity to support the team is vital.
