Main duties of the job
The Trust is seeking a specialty doctor to join a dementia inpatient unit based at Forget Me Not Unit, Worthing. The Trust has redesigned Dementia inpatient services modernising and developing the functioning of the teams.
This post is an example of the commitment of the Trust to develop better medical provision and capacity for the 3 wards and the families and carers using the service. The filling of this post adds to the medical establishment of the ward providing both consultant and middle grade input to each of the dementia wards.
The post holder will be part of a Trust wide middle grade doctor network. The post holder will see consultant and middle grade peers weekly at the local academic programme (held at Worthing), at regular division meetings in the locality and at clinical governance meetings.

There are three wards on the unit Sage, Rosemary and Thyme and all the wards have 10 beds. Sage and Thyme are male only wards and Rosemary has female beds only.
