Job summary
We are seeking a part-time (0.6 WTE) Practitioner Psychologist or accredited CBT Therapist who will be able to offer psychological assessments and NICE recommended psychological interventions to service users and their families across the lifespan.
We can offer the post holder the chance to develop their skills working in a dynamic and creative Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) service across Hastings and Rother. Psychological approaches are highly valued in the team, and the successful candidate will assist in team case formulations, reflective practice and support the team in delivering psychologically informed care.
We are looking for a Qualified Clinical / Counselling Psychologist or CBT Therapist, however applications from Practitioner Psychologists who are about to qualify are also welcome.
The post is part-time, 3 days a-week, 9am to 5pm (days are flexible, though preferably to include Mondays). It may be possible to combine this role with another role within the Trust to create a full- time post if required.
Location: We aim to meet with service users in the setting where they are most comfortable and the post holder will be required to meet with people at one of two team bases, in the community or in the person's home. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferable for this post, but not essential. The multi-disciplinary team base is Bexhill Health Centre in Bexhill. Main duties of the job
Working in Early Intervention Services: The service offers support and treatment to people aged 14 - 65 who have experienced either a first episode of psychosis or present with an At-Risk Mental State. The Hastings EIP team is one of 6 Early Intervention in Psychosis teams provided by the Trust. The teams have a single service-wide governance group which oversees and leads on the delivery of care. There are opportunities for genuine MDT working and collaboration with other staff groups in the team.
Career Progression: The post holder will be supported by the Principal Clinical Psychologist in the team, and will be joining a welcoming group of Practitioner Psychologists who work across different services in the local area. You will be provided with individual clinical supervision, group supervision for family interventions and opportunities to link with other Practitioner Psychologists both within EIP and other services for peer support and professional development. You will have opportunities to develop your special interests and expertise in line with service and team objectives, and will be supported in your continuing professional development and in building skills relevant to your career development.. There will also be an opportunity to access Systemic Family Interventions for Psychosis training and this intervention is a core part of our service delivery.
