We are a large specialist NHS mental health and learning disabilities service provider. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our CEO to help us provide high quality care to the local communities we serve.

You will need to be highly professional in both your manner and presentation. This will suit a pro-active self-starter with an ambitious and energetic nature. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to form strong working relationships both internally and externally is essential. Outstanding organisation skills and the ability to plan and prioritise are crucial along with the ability to meet and deliver on deadlines. You will also have analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as having excellent attention to detail.

Main duties of the job

The role of the Business Manager is to provide a comprehensive, high quality and confidential Business Management to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). You will:

  • be the first point of contact for both external and internal stakeholders, partners and colleagues wishing to engage with the CEO. Maintaining strict confidentiality, ensuring tact and sensitivity are essential requirements for this role.
  • coordinate the CEO's activities and logistics ensuring they are fully briefed ahead of key events and engagements for which they are attending and/or Chairing
  • provide senior and professional administrative support to the CEO
  • be responsible for overseeing the work of the Office of the Chief Executive
