The Finance Analyst has a key role in supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of the Oracle financial ledger to aid the timely and accurate systems and reporting service.
Due to a restructure of the team we have two exciting opportunities to join the Finance Services and Governance team. One role will be with Accounts Payables and the other with Accounts Receivables.
Key relationships within these roles will require you to work closely with colleagues across the Finance function, Procurement team, Budget and Departmental Managers, Shared Business Services, etc. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
This is an exciting opportunity for any AAT qualified, or qualified by experience, candidate who is looking to develop their career. We're looking for strong analytical skills using Excel/related tools and the ability to multitask and adapt to the ever-changing demands of the NHS.

Main duties of the job
Design and maintain reports and spreadsheets as required by the Finance Manager.
Liaise with staff in NHS Shared Business Services to resolve queries with the operation of the Oracle Financial Ledger or data held on the Creditors/Debtors ledger.
Contribute to the Agreement of Balances exercise each quarter for Payables or Receivables.
Assist and manage the IR35 process and payments.
Ensuring the Trust's, NO Purchase Order, NO Payment Payables Policy is maintained.
Maintain and undertake investigations to resolve items on our creditor and customer databases.
Create and maintain the Rolling Creditors/Debtors spread sheet on a monthly basis.
Investigate and resolve creditor/debtor accounts identified in our Duplicate and Statement reviews.
Deputise for the Finance Manager, and other members of the Department, as required.
Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade and nature of the post as directed by the Finance Manager
About us
You will need experience of working with data, audit, analysis and managing workload with a good working knowledge of Finance, Receivables and/or Payables and their key tasks. An excellent communicator, able to build on relationships at all levels with the ability to work within a team as well as on your own is fundamental.
As a key member of the team you will supporting the Finance Manager and your colleagues, managing any day to day issues, ensuring the team works within timescales and successfully achieves required quality targets.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be confident, motivated and flexible and be able to show initiative in an environment which is often busy, rewarding and dynamic.
You will be adaptable, ambitious, approachable and tenacious with an eye for detail and the ability to pre-empt, identify and solve problems. An ability to reassess priorities on a continual basis with strong skills in the Microsoft Office packages.
