Job summary
The Finance Analyst will be an integral member of the Financial Management team helping to provide a comprehensive financial service to the Trust. They will assist with the management of the day-to-day financial processes and transactions, while supporting continuous improvement and data interrogation. They will support the Senior Finance Business Partner (SFBP) and work closely with the whole Finance team and applicable Corporate or Operational Service teams to ensure the accuracy of month end processing.
Main duties of the job
To assist with providing a comprehensive financial management services to either an Operational Service or Corporate area and/or our Service Line Reporting and Improvement Team. This will include supporting the budget setting process and the completion of all financial adjustments within the relevant area.
To establish and maintain effective communications with the SFBP and the Operational/Corporate Teams. to ensure the accuracy of month end processing.
To monitor, investigate and explain variances from budget understanding the key drivers and to provide possible courses of action to ensure budgeted positions are achieved at the year end.
To deputise for the SFBP when required and attend regular team and budget holder meetings.
To ensure all income is invoiced in a timely and efficient manner, liaising with the appropriate Trust personnel or other external agencies as necessary.
To ensure the information held on the finance system is accurate and maintain the quality of the data held.
