Job summary
Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust delivers the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Hampshire. Hampshire CAMHS currently have a vacancy for a Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist to join the team as a band 5 Mental Health Practitioner within the Single Point of Access (SPA) for Hampshire. You will need to be registered with a Health or Social Care governing body, and have CAMHS or relevant Mental Health experience.
This will be a newly created centralised SPA team overseeing the front door to CAMHS and the triaging of referrals for the service, as opposed to the area-based approach. This is an exciting opportunity to take forward the development of a new team. The team base will be Eastleigh.

Main duties of the job
JOB OUTLINE
To participate within the multi-disciplinary professional Single Point of Access team in the relevant care group to deliver safe children and young people care focussing on therapeutic relationships.
To work in partnership with families and carers to ensure the children and young people's individual health needs are met.
Understand evidence based therapeutic interventions relevant to the care group to include education, clinical care, wellness recovery action plans and discharge planning.
To work with colleagues to offer consultation and advice to primary care workers on all aspects of mental health and well being of children and their families.
To direct children and their families to the most appropriate service in order to meet their emotional needs.
To offer assessments individually and jointly with primary care colleagues.
