We have an exciting opportunity for a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health Liaison team in Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath, West Sussex. This vacancy has arisen due to the moving on of the substantive post holder.
This job attracts aRecruitment and Retention payment of £25,000,in addition to(up to) £8000 relocation allowance.The RRP payment is paid in the following instalments:
- £5000 payment paid on appointment
- £5000 retention payment paid at 12 month anniversary of employment
- £6500 retention payment paid at 30 month anniversary of employment
- £8500 retention payment paid at 48 month anniversary of employment

Main duties of the job
The role of the post holder in the liaison team will be to provide senior medical input to the team. You will expected to undertake assessments of patients attending or admitted to Princess Royal Hospital, providing detailed assessments, formulation and risk assessments. You will also develop management plans for these patients.
The post holder will work with the multidisciplinary team to provide high quality mental health care for patients attending the hospital.
You will also support junior medical colleagues including clinically supervising trainee doctors and will be committed to providing a high quality of medical education to students and trainees.
