We are a 12 bedded ward based in Langley Green Hospital in Crawley. Crawley is situated closely to London and Brighton and benefits from a thriving, vibrant and diverse community. Amber Ward has an experienced team and works collaboratively with other wards and services within the hospital and the wider community.

Amber Ward is looking for staff nurses to join its motivated and dynamic team. Amber Ward has gone through a remarkable journey the past 12 months and we are continuing to strive for even greater success. We want you to be a part of our wonderful team.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for experienced and newly qualified mental health nurses who are motivated, dynamic and forward thinking to work on Amber Ward PICU. You will have a commitment to maintaining and improving service-leader centred care to the highest standards.

You will lead on taking and assessing PICU referrals and liaising with other units across the trust offering support.

  • To deliver a high standard of evidence based inpatient nursing care in the designated care group in partnership with the team, the service users and where appropriate their family.
  • To act as a primary nurse in the assessment of needs and organising of care.
  • To co-ordinate shifts and provide supervision for support workers and students.
