Job summary

Do you have significant administration experience within operational services and a background with a focus on service improvement and performance?

We are recruiting for a Business Manager to join us to provide a key role in the work of the care group across the Trust, through the design and development of performance information and monitoring and business support. This will include the analysis and presentation of data, submission of statutory returns and benchmarking data, and general support of service improvement and planning for the Head of Service and Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

As Business Manager you will also provide line management for Information and Administration Co-ordinators and overall professional leadership for all admin staff across Sussex.

Main duties of the job

Line management for Information and Administration Co-ordinators and overall professional leadership for all admin staff across Sussex and will therefore need to be able to travel and attend trust sites. You will also be responsible for admin staffing and overseeing all admin recruitment

Designing and managing the operation of care group specific information systems. Develop administrative working protocols and practices across Sussex. Assist the Head of Service and SLT in developing, implementing and maintaining care group specific policies, protocols and related systemsRepresenting and making decisions on behalf of the service which relates to either performance, or business decisions as delegated by Head of Service.Proactively engaging in Trust-wide policy development, personally ensuring recommendations from Serious Untoward Incidents (SUIs), near misses, complaints and other incidents are shared and benefit all services.Representing the care group at internal and external meetings as instructed.

The Business Manager is the specialist for the management and provision of performance information for the service and will work on own initiative, with significant discretion to develop performance information
