Following recent investment, we are seeking to recruit Support Time and Recovery (STaR) workers across the county to work in our community CAMHS Teams in: Aldershot, Basingstoke, Winchester Test Valley, Eastleigh, New Forest, Fareham & Gosport and Havant.
Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team you will work directly on the recovery needs of the child/young person, providing the necessary goal-based intervention for them to learn new ways to live the life they want to live in order to improve mental health and wellbeing in day to day life.
As a STaR worker you work with the lead professional who is responsible for the management of care and the therapeutic intervention being delivered. This is an innovative delivery of support that seeks to enable children and young people and their network to get the right support at the right time during the period of time they are supported by community.
Main duties of the job
Providing targeted, time limited, recovery focused interventions as identified and care planned by the lead clinician the STaR worker will focus on:
- Enabling and relationship building to support a child and young person focused journey through the service while they are accessing a therapeutic intervention.
- Working in the local community to support with developing daily activities promoting social inclusion and supporting organisational commitment.
- Provide support in delivering personally defined recovery care planned interventions by promoting citizenship, connectivity and empowerment.
- Support transitions between clinical pathways and agencies
