Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent full-time band 7 Senior Nurse/Mental Health Practitioners to join the Fareham & Gosport Specialist CAMHS Team in Hampshire.
The successful candidate will work in partnership with children, young people and their families with complex mental health presentations, to assess risk, develop person-centered risk management and care plans to support recovery. They will demonstrate an understanding of clinical interventions and will be able to engage with families and other professional networks to a high standard.
As a Senior Nurse/MHP clinical leadership skills and innovative and creative ways of working are essential. There will be a requirement to provide clinical supervision to staff and work in line with trust values and minimum clinical standards to maintain and innovate service delivery.
Main duties of the job
The role will include leading on care for complex cases within the team and offering therapeutic interventions and stabilisation support, with a requirement to demonstrates clear leadership and evidence based practice.
The successful candidate will support the Team Manager, Assistant Team Manager and Clinical Leads in the recruitment/ induction and training of junior staff, alongside providing supervision and contributing to appraisal and review processes.
You will be experienced in duty work, risk assessments and safety planning and will show initiative to liaise with families, carers and the professional network as needed.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake initial assessments and lead Practitioner work.
