Job summary
As a Forensic Secure Inpatient Services Manager at Hellingly MSU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality services within a defined budget. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams that are care group specific, ensuring the achievement of health and social care performance targets while maintaining financial targets.
You will work within a multidisciplinary setting, demonstrating personal commitment to integrated leadership. You will be accountable for the delivery of high-quality services, managing specific change projects as required, and responding to Serious Untoward Incidents (SUIs), complaints, and communications. You will identify risks and take corrective action in line with the Trust's integrated governance framework.
Our service aims to promote and display support for the Trust's key policies on Equality and Diversity, Exemplar Employer, and the use of the recovery orientated approach for people with longer-term problems. As the Forensic Secure Inpatient Services Manager, you will deputise for the General Manager and colleagues as required.

Main duties of the job
Contribute to the planning and delivery of service objectives, managing specific change projects as required, ensuring customer focus, consistency, quality, and cost effectiveness. Deputise for the General Manager and colleagues as required. Work closely with Hellingly centre Matron, other service managers, professional leads, colleagues in corporate services and partner agencies to continuously improve services. Implement service plans and lead service development actions, taking account of the needs of the relevant local communities, promoting personalized care, wellbeing, safety and social inclusion. Ensure that all aspects of HR, including recruitment, retention, and performance issues are managed in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures. Undertake appraisal and job planning as required, ensuring annual and quarterly targets are achieved. Develop, implement, and maintain systems, processes, and practice in risk management, including the management of Health and Safety. Ensure all aspects of Safeguarding are adhered to and that policies and procedures are followed at all times. Investigate complaints fully, and satisfactorily resolve ensuring a proactive approach is standard as part of the trust and local authority policies. Prepare accurate performance reports formulate action plans to improve performance if necessary. Contribute to the development and implementation of optimal models of care improving the quality of services within the care group.
