Langley Green Hospital is an acute mental health unit in Crawley, West Sussex offering person-centred and holistic mental health care. Langley Green Hospital has 4 wards which consist of two working age adult wards, an older adult ward and a psychiatric intensive care ward.
To protect the health and safety of our staff/workers, patients, and those attending our sites, we encourage our workforce to get fully vaccinated against COVID.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for confident people with a genuine interest in Mental Health who are motivated, dynamic and forward thinking to work at Langley Green Hospital as Healthcare Assistants. Applicants need to be committed to maintaining and improving service user centred care to the highest standards. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with an ability to demonstrate good communication skills and team working abilities. In return you will benefit from working in a therapeutic environment conducive to the treatment and recovery of people with acute functional mental health problems. All your skills and life experience will be fully utilised and developed through clinical supervision and training opportunities. You will be expected to work a mixture of night and day shifts across a 7 day period. There will be training around prevention and management of violence and aggression.

We currently work a Long Day shift pattern on the wards, this includes weekends and night shifts.
