We have opportunities for Staff Nurses, both newly qualified, and for those with experience who are looking to further their professional development, and are looking for a new challenge.
Meadowfield is an acute mental health hospital in Worthing, we are part of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. We have 3 wards at Meadowfield Rowan and Maple are for working age patients and Larch Ward is for patients over the age of 65. We also have a new POS (136 suite) which consists of a secure outdoor space, separate accommodation, assessment and office space. ECT and Neuromodulation services are also provided at Meadowfield as well as The Haven which is a 24/7 crisis assessment unit, providing an alternative to A&E to provide a comprehensive biopsychosocial crisis assessment for any adult aged 18 or over who is not subject to the Mental Health Act.
We are an open unit, and our open doors are something that we are very proud of and this brings a very different feel to the unit than those that are not able to use this approach.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for experienced and newly qualified mental health nurses who are motivated, dynamic and forward thinking to work at Meadowfield. You will have a commitment to maintaining and improving service user centered care to the highest standards. Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team you will be able to demonstrate sound communication and clinical skills and be willing to develop these.
All your skills and training will be fully utilised and developed through clinical supervision and training opportunities including a preceptorship academy for newly qualified nurses and modules offered by the University of Surrey and University of Brighton as well as Trust essential training and an Emerging Leadership Course.
